ICE NINE KILLS IN CONCERT:

Metalcore quintet Ice Nine Kills offers fans a gripping and visceral concert experience that combines heavy rhythms, fiery riffs, and catchy hooks. Singer Spencer Charnas vacillates between guttural screams and soaring melodies as he encourages fans to sing along. The rhythm section doles out beat after pummeling beat of non-stop aggressive fury while guitarist Justin deBlieck delivers face-melting riffs and solos. With song titles like “The Coffin Is Moving” and “Let’s Bury the Hatchet… In Your Skull”, the band reliably delivers a hardcore experience that pulls no punches. Ice Nine Kills is sure to bring their mayhem to the masses in 2015 as their IX Lives Tour hits select North American cities.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The original incarnation of Ice Nine Kills formed in Boston, MA in 2006 and released their independent debut Last Chance to Make Amends that same year. When several original members quit the lineup, lead singer Spencer Charnas recruited musicians from the recently disbanded post-hardcore group Remember Tomorrow. The new roster got right to work, quickly blostering their growing fan base with a successful run on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. The group released Safe Is Just a Shadow in 2010 and continued to amass new fans with their fresh, provocative sound. They then earned an opening spot on the 2012 All Stars Tour alongside bands like Suicide Silence, The World Alive, and Dance Gavin Dance. Ice Nine Kill's third album The Predator Becomes the Prey was released in 2014, claiming the top spot on the iTunes Metal Albums chart for the entire first week of its release.

  • Probably The Best Shows I've Ever Seen... Ever.

by alyssarcs on 9/17/24Rating: 5 out of 5

The music is amazing, the entire band is talented, Spencer Charnas is incredibly entertaining, and people get (fake) murdered on stage. What more can you ask for? I've been front row, general admission, and VIP at INK shows and it's absolutely unforgettable no matter where you are in the venue. If you like their music, DO NOT miss out on their live performances. You will not regret it. I've seen more than 90 bands in my 18 years of life and Ice Nine Kills remains my favorite show. (PS. anyone complaining about venue prices on here, the band doesn't control that, silly ❤️)

  • Amazing performance

INK puts on an incredibly entertaining show, bringing to life each song. Definitely a feast for the eyes and ears! Audience gets really involved and you could feel lost if you are not familiar with their songs. Only downside to the show is The "Backyard"stage at the Rock & Brews Sacramento isn't ideal during the blazing hot summer months.

  • Backyard fun venue, but Expo parking sucks

by MetalMom on 9/6/24The Backyard - SacramentoRating: 3 out of 5

The Backyard is a fun new venue for Sacramento. Small crowd so very personal concert expereince. But $20 to park and walk a mile from Cal Expo was miserable. Why isn't there a back entrance from the Expo Parking Lot? Why weren't there shuttles? I thought I read somewhere there would be shuttles.

  • Bloody good time!

by The Producer on 9/6/24The Backyard - SacramentoRating: 4 out of 5

All 4 bands were entertaining, with lively shows and lots of props! Only issue was Ice Nine Kills took more than a half-hour to set up, which is a bit too long. But they were great!

  • INK and Avatar rock The Backyard, rock The Backyard!

by CJ on 9/6/24The Backyard - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Nice venue, INK and Avatar threw down. Think I'm done with In This Moment, they're more concerned with theatrics than the music. Such a disappointment after seeing them open for Megadeth during their first album.

  • Energetic

All artist performing kept upping the stage presence and all had tons of crowd interaction. There was never a dull moment during the sets. I would defiently see all of the artist again.
