Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.
Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.
In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off The Boat, BET's North Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny.
In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.
The last time I went to watch a show was so great, I was to be able to show my 3 grandsons the stadium. They enjoyed it very much. However getting into the lot was horrible. Matt Rife is a force to be reckoned with. The way he can come up with bits on the fly when he interacts with the audience is amazing. He is more a Dark Humor comedian but it was all in fun. I loved the whole show. I laughed a lot & had a great time. I would highly recommend.

Went to see Matt Rife's last show of the year in Chicago. It was one of the best experiences I have had with a comedy show. Everything from the opening acts to his comedic timing of his performance, I was simply in awe. Very humble and hilarious person. Will definitely be getting more tickets to future shows.
Matt Rife’s show was amazing! Would definitely love to see him return to Illinois for another show! The Rialto in Joliet would be another great venue!

Due to a rescheduled show, we ended up seeing Matt a year and a half after we bought tickets. I could not have been more excited and my expectations were super high. We all know that he is known for his crowd work and he did not disappoint. What impressed me the most was how he was able to weave in his standup with the crowd work. Where there are obvious pauses and redirections with other comics I’ve seen, Matt was able to control the flow, making it feel like one continuous conversation. He performed for almost an hour and a half, and it was worth every minute. I would see him again in a heartbeat. If you’re on the fence, go buy your tickets. Now! You won’t regret it.
He's show was Awesome, it was worth the wait for the reschedule here in Chicago. I am planning on seeing him again in Detroit in November. Even bought his book.
Matt rife is very witty and the show was great. My seats were in the box - first row, but because we were not allowed to just our phones it was hard to see him. The theater has screens, but in the box seats, you CAN'T see the whole screen. You only see the bottom half of the screen. There should be 2 screens on top of each other so the box seats have a positive view. It was a real struggle. Getting in was a breeze even though it was sold out. We were able to enter through the side entrance, which was quick and easy. I would not recommend box seats unless you have the sharpest vision or you are able to just your phone to zoom into what you are watching.
