  • One and done

by No to Beetlejuice on 12/26/24Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 3 out of 5

I thought it was just ok. Very difficult to understand at times and I sit close, . Maybe would have helped to see the movie first. Would not see again

  • Overall good

Loved the off color humor. Could have done without the politics. Honestly, stick to entertainment. The constant jabs at one political party is old and tired. Without that, it was a fun show.

  • Excellent Performance

I thoroughly enjoyed Thursday's presentation. The actors (especially Beetjuice Justin Collette had me laughing all the way. We all need that kind of humor.!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing

I've never been to a play or musical before except when a small play group came to my middle school to do a very quick play during an assembly. I also was never a super fan of Beetlejuice the movie, though I did enjoy it as a kid. On a whim my spouse and I decided to see this because I really wanted to experience a live performance and despite them never having seen Beetlejuice the movie before they thought the vibes could be fun in person. Seeing as I'd never been to a live performance like this before, I had expected it to be similar to seeing a movie. I was very wrong. This was honestly a life changing experience for me. I adored every second, loved every song, and thought every single performance was incredible. Not only would I love to see it again, but it has converted me to someone who wants to see more live play performances like a starved beast. I've spent nearly 30 years having never experienced the life that a stage play has, and now that I have, I am excited to return.

This is my second time seeing Beetlejuice. The lighting is great, the music is excellent, the cast is stellar and the Beetlejuice character specifically is hilarious!! It’s a great mixture of funny with upbeat music and a touch of emotion, followed by a great ending. I would definitely see it a third time and highly recommend it!

  • Quirky and Funny

We love musicals and attend all the big Broadway National Tours. Beetlejuice was really funny and we loved the sets, costumes, lighting and effects. The actors did a great job but it was difficult to understand some of the lines.

  • Unfreakin' Awesome!

As a theater junkie, I see every show I can. I wanted to see the touring company of Beatlejuice so drove from Phoenix to Tucson and I will drive even further to see this again! The performance we saw featured the understudy in the main role but who could tell? This guy was unbelieveable. The sets, special effects, costumes were only overshadowed by the talent by everyone on stage. Run, don't walk and get tickets if the touring company comes to your city!

  • So much better than I thought it would be!

The show was amazing! The cast sounded great! One actress played 3 minor characters! The songs impressed me, they were funny, touching, everything i expected but better! My teen daughter loved it too!
