About

Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom.

The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in, and executive produced The Crew, a Netflix sitcom set in the world of NASCAR.

James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy. His second comedy special Never Don't Give Up premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim.

James made his feature film debut in Columbia Pictures' Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, and starred in, produced and co-wrote the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Zookeeper, and Here Comes The Boom. James has starred alongside Adam Sandler in Pixels, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and Hubie Halloween. He starred in the features True Memoirs of an International Assassin and Home Team for Netflix, as well as the independent action thriller Becky.

James can currently be seen in his new one-hour special "Kevin James: Irregardless" for Prime Video.

I have always been a huge fan of Kevin James since the King of Queens. I was so excited to see him perform live that I purchased 8th Row Orchestra Seats, totaling $400+, without hesitation because Kevin James was Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the show. The show centered around weight/fat with little variation. Although, at times, the show was humorous - those times were few. I will think twice before buying tickets to another show.

  • Very disappointing

I’m going to keep this short as I have already wasted enough time by attending this show. I saw Kevin James about 18 months ago and he was funny. On Friday 11/8 we went to Foxwoods to see this show which was a reschedule from October. This show was just awful. I have seen better comedians at my local VFW or country club. The opening comic was funny but he was only on for about 15 minutes. Kevin James told nothing but fat jokes and went on and on about a joke to do with Wendy’s and it was actually painful. The entire act was painful. Save yourself a lot of money and precious time and pass on this show. Beyond disappointing.

My husband and I have been fans of Kevin James since the start of King of Queens, watched every show and reruns. Watched every TV show and movie he has been a part of and have seen him in person 3 times. I always laugh a lot but this past show at Foxwoods made me laugh from my inner core!! I totally enjoyed it! His delivery and body movements are hysterical! Fantastic show!

  • Lower your expectations

I am so disappointed and sad. I loved (and still do) the King of Queens and expected the Kevin James show to be equally funny. It was not a comedy show. It was more of a storytelling hour. I regret spending money on it.

He was fantastic. The comedian before him was also great. Worth the money

  • Opening act was better

by Rob on 11/11/24Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 2 out of 5

Kevin James struggled to entertain the crowd. His stories were long winded and only revolved around weight and age. Not the funny man we have seen many times before

  • Really disappointed

We have seen Kevin James in the past and he’s been excellent. Sadly, this time was very different. He did not seem like he wanted to be there. He had an injury so that may be part of it, but he was very dry. Typically when you are at a comedy show, there are often big belly laughs. The crowd was quite quiet. It was, really a disappointment. We left approximately 20 minutes in because the show was so bad and we will not be purchasing tickets to see Kevin James again.

We had to walk out early as we couldn’t listen anymore about going to Wendy’s. 45mins just about that was so bad, Really thought his show would have been better.
