About

Sting is a 17-time Grammy-winning artist and a founding member of the pioneering new wave band The Police. Born in Wallsend, England, Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, became one of the best-selling artists of all-time as the bassist and frontman of The Police. The band released five studio albums and six Top 10 singles, including the Sting-penned No. 1 hit “Every Breath You Take,” before disbanding in 1986. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and their 2008 reunion tour was the third highest-grossing tour of the ’00s. Since releasing his 1985 solo debut The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting has been recognized with a British CBE and an Emmy, featured at the Kennedy Center Honors and inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received four Oscar nominations, and his 2014 Broadway musical The Last Ship, which was inspired by his childhood and featured music and lyrics by Sting, was nominated for two Tony Awards. A constant experimenter of genres including jazz, pop, classical and world music, Sting won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019 with Shaggy for their 2018 collaborative album 44/876.

  • STING

    by ODucks808 on 12/7/24Rating: 5 out of 5

73 year old Sting remains a rock star. Powerful voice, incredible technique with bass, engages with audience intimately. 2 hours of throwing down without breaking a sweat. Dude is fire. He’s an Icon, his music visceral & cerebral. Ironic that Sting is touring as a 3 piece band. Dominic Miller never disappoints. He's a master craftsman with the guitar. He possesses innate insight of Sting’s entire catalogue. World tour reveals audience demographic. USA subset includes a handful draggin oxygen tanks, other countries much younger. Perhaps that’s why he prefers overseas gigs, fueled with more energy Sting typically plays at smaller venues. Highly recommend checking him out on this tour. I definitely anticipate Sting gifting the world with live concerts indefinitely, never know which show may be the final curtain. Check him at any opportunity

  • He still has it!

by Mikey D on 11/23/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was great! He played most of his great songs from the past. His voice is still perfect. He really belted out his lyrics at times. Super impressive in person

  • Fantastic Concert

by MLM Chi on 11/22/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Sting amazed us all with a versatile set of music spanning his career. He sounds as great as ever! In addition, the opening act was spectacular, the theatre acoustics were great, and the availability of a variety of "adult beverages"made it a very special Date Night!

  • Sting sounded great!

by Wayne on 11/22/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Sting sounded great, as did the band! He kept moving right along, hardly any time spent between songs which is why he was able to perform so many hits! I would definitely recommend him to any fan.

  • What a Fun Night!

This was an amazing concert in a perfect venue! The Wiltern really knows how to put on a great concert. Perfect intimate setting.

  • Sting played his ❤️ out

Sting was legendary and happy to see the concert in such an intimate setting

  • Sting 3.0 @ Wiltern / Los Angeles

by Andy on 11/20/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Sheer perfection. Simple, understated production, essentially raw. Three amazing musicians played for 2:10 non-stop. About a 50/50 split between The Police and Sting’s solo work. Flawless from start to finish. Will catch them again next year at Red Rocks.

  • Sting 3.0

by Bobby H on 11/20/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! Sting was in top form. He is a super talented performer with an extensive catalog of music. I’ve seen him at least 10 times, he keeps getting better with age. His band was spot on! It was such a joyous night of entertainment and nice to enjoy music and tune out all that madness in the world. This was one of my favorite concerts. Sting rocks!

  • Sting Is Timeless

by Cat on 11/18/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Sting is a legend and he can still perform live and sound amazing. I only gave 3 stars because the Wiltern Theatre was a bust. We sat in the Mezzanine section and our view of the stage was blocked for a majority of the concert. It really ruined the entire experience.

  • Every little thing he does is magic!

by KJ on 11/18/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The best birthday present I could've given myself! Sting just gets better with age, and OMG the drummer in 3.0? He is EVERYTHING! That dude Chris Maas can play. It's rare that the concert sounds better than the recordings. But this trio killed it.
