Wayne Newton is a singer and entertainer from Norfolk, Virginia. Over the course of his decades-long career, Newton has become synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Strip, earning the nickname “Mr. Las Vegas.” Getting his start in the 1950s, the then-teen singer was mentored by superstars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. Some of his best-known songs include “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” and “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast.” By 1963, he had become a headliner at the Flamingo in Las Vegas and worked his way to being named the highest-grossing act in Sin City history. Through the 1990s, Newton headlined shows at Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Bally’s before signing a 10-year contract in 1999 as the first-ever headliner-in-residence at the Stardust Resort and Casino — though the deal was cut short in 2005 as a result of the venue’s demolition. In 2016, Newton performed his lounge show Up Close & Personal at Bally’s, followed by his 2019 stint at Caesars Palace to celebrate his 60th year on stage. In 2024, Newton will embark on his Up Close and Personal Tour.

A very good show. I liked the videos he incorporated in his show highlighting his long career. Very nostalgic. We enjoyed the show very much.
Easy to check in. Comfortable area.secuity was awesome.
This event was held at the edge pavilion in Laughlin Nevada. The concert was amazing. Great sound system, comfortable seats, helpful ushers.
Even though his voice isn't as good, he still is a great showman. He combined Christmas favorites along with some of his songs. His stories were amusing and funny. He brought out his family and dogs for the finale as we all sang Silent Night. And the kangaroo was a nice touch. A real kangaroo. Great great show.
He was fantastic. I'm so glad I finally got to see him. He told the best stories. He sang his hits and Christmas classics. He had a whole band and the greatest back up singers. He is still kicking butt and gives a great performance.
Absolutely loved Wayne Newton's show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. He's a real showman, he's funny, and his show reveals all of his connections to the celebrities who helped him along the way, including Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, and many many others who became his friends. Wayne Newton is a treasure and an icon in Las Vegas. If you get the chance to see his show, see it.
Great show incorporating history of Wayne’s life and tributes to other singers. It was like watching a documentary on Wayne’s life while he is still alive and with him performing in it. Great, great show!
I’ve wanted to see Wayne Newton for years, he was on my Bucket List. I missed my chance to see him in Vegas 20 years ago and had the opportunity to see him locally. I’m happy that I was able to attend the show but the theater wasn’t comfortable, the sound was way off too. Sadly I was disappointed. I had seen a few shows in that theater in the past, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes and a dance show, both of which were extra loud. Wayne Newton mostly spoke and showed old videos which were so difficult to hear and understand. My seat was in the 2nd row.
I have always wanted to see Wayne Newton but I am unable to fly to Vegas. As soon as I found out he was going to be doing a show in Atlantic City, I bought my tickets and reserved a room. I was not disappointed. It was a dream come true for me. He was s awesome.
Whole Wayne Newton might be an aging entertainer, he has not lost his charm. The show was a captivating look at his long career, not expected but very nice to enjoy. His wife is a charmer and we wish them both health and heart.
