BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Patti Labelle cut her teeth singing in church choir and several girl groups before settling into her role as frontwoman of namesake group LaBelle in 1970. Following minor success in the early part of the decade, LaBelle hit the big time in 1974 with "Lady Marmalade," which became their first No. 1 and remains one of the most popular songs of the disco era. In 1977, Patti released her self-titled solo debut album to positive reviews, wowing critics with her songwriting and prowess as a vocalist. A series of successful albums followed including 1986's Winner in You, which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and received several Grammy nominations.

Patti looked absolutely stunning and her voice is still amazing. Show was way shorter than expected. Disappointed about that.

Patti LaBelle is one of the greatest singers of all time, it is amazing that she is still able to put on such a quality show at 80 years old. She hasn’t missed a beat!
Have followed Patti LaBelle throughout her career in different cities. Disappointed with this program, although we realize that she was not feeling well. The sound system in this particular venue was not the best with the band overshadowing her performance. The fact that many audience members stand up, blocking those behind them, use their phone camera throughout the entire concert and start singing along with the performers while standing up drowning out the voice of the individual we came to see, did not add much to the evening.

I took my wife to see Patti Concert at Tilles Center for her birthday. She was surprised because I didn’t tell her who she was going to see. Our first time at Tilles. We enjoyed the concert. Before the concert an hour before we was in the waiting section where there was a full bar and live Jaz music. Then the doors opened and in the other room was snacks for sale. I really thought it was going to be more than chips and candy because the website wasn’t that clear. We didn’t eat because I thought it was going to be like hordurbs like cocktail hour. Other than than that , the concert hall was amazing, and the concert was great. I will definitely go back to Tilles to see another concert.
