Metallica was formed by drummer Lars Ulrich and singer/guitarist James Hetfield in Los Angeles in 1981; since then, their astonishing career milestones include winning eight Grammys and selling over 125 million albums worldwide, including the critically-acclaimed Master of Puppets (1986), often cited as one of the most important metal albums in history. They are also one of the most popular and commercially successful touring acts in history — according to Pollstar, as of 2019 Metallica had sold over 22 million tickets and grossed $1.4 billion in touring since 1982. Metallica’s fifth studio album, Metallica (1991), famously known as The Black Album, has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and features some of the band’s biggest hits: “Nothing Else Matters,” “The Unforgiven” and “Enter Sandman.” On six consecutive genre-defining studio albums (from 1991’s Metallica through 2016’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct), Metallica has consistently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2023, they released their latest album 72 Seasons. Most recently, Metallica has embarked on the massive M72 World Tour, with dates scheduled through 2025.

Amazing Band, Amazing evening!! It is the best Band of the world! Live a unbeaten Beast
First timer to see The Band. Not disappointed at all. Good cause as well. Theater was very cushy
Best live act in music, bar none! This was a special concert for Metallica’s “All Within My Hands” charity organization, an amazing cause. #MetallicaGivesBack! 🤘🏽
The show was outstanding, but get rid of Jimmy Kimmel. Also- it’s metal, so people should realize that the unwritten AWMH rule that you sit until they switch to electric is absurd! Sammy Hagar then Metallica- there’s no sitting- go see Taylor Swift instead. If not and you want to pretend to be a fan, don’t complain!
This was an “intimate” show in front of about 7,000 people for a great charity cause. It was a treat seeing Sammy Hagar & Company for a retrospective of his career and then Metallica blew away the crowd with an acoustic set followed by a charged up electric performance which included two of my favorites: Hit the Lights and Master of Puppets.
Metallica absolutely rocked the night! Their acoustic set was equally impressive. I had an amazing time! Sammy Hagar was on fire, bringing so much energy to the stage. It was an unforgettable evening!
Metallica at YouTube Theater was absolutely incredible. Being in a smaller venue made it all that more SPECIAL! I loved their opening Acoustic Set. Unique. The second set was vintage Metallica!!! Having Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Joe Satarani opening was a huge BONUS! The entire evening was completely memorable for this 63 year old who still ROCKS!!!
The show was amazing! Hands down better than the regular tour . Same Setlist every weekend but this charity one off was way way way better!
This show was the best experience I have ever had at the YouTube theater. No long lines for anything. Metallica was amazing!!
Loved seeing Metallica in a small venue. And Sammy Hagar was outstaning. I thought the duet was out of place. Their music did not fit with the hard rock/heavy metal feel. Yes, they were outstanding musicians, but not at this concert. Also, Jummy Kimmel was booed for good reason. Trying to be funny in a heavy metal crowd and swe can see right through you. You had no clue, nor you like Metallica, so your jikes were not welcomed. To the Admins, PLEASE choose someone from the heavy Metal community to be the MC next time. Tom Morello was OK. But it is ironic that a sel-described socialist is actually people to give money (3 Million they raised?) for a good cause. Kind of cynical. He does not belong there.
These AWMH show's really are something to been seen/heard live and in person. It was great seeing Sammy Hagar and Joe Satriani play some classics to start off the night. I love the one offs and "acoustic"versions you get at these shows. Metallica still rocks!
I had the best time at my first out of my home country concert experience. Seen Metallica numerous times but this show and the atmosphere was electric!
I have seen the Metallica boys 13 times since 1985 in Germany to Seattle WA. Next show will be in D.C. in May of 25 Guess that's a review? I will continue to see them until either they stop touring, or I die.
August 11, 2023 Olympique Stadium Montreal, QC MetallicA and PANTERA!!! I wouldn't believe it that it was possible in my wildest dreams. I've been enjoying their music for so many years (I'm not revealing how many..) Yes, the sound, yes, not original band bla bla Be grateful and happy you can experience this again! I, personally, was trying not to pass out ;) Toronto in April ...
I'm 59. Seeing Metallica twice in one weekend was completely awesome. Wish the music was a little lower and the singing was a little louder. Couldn't really hear the singing. Had a really great time. Will be seeing Metallica at Levi stadium next June.
For guys in their 60s, to play with the speed and intensity and complexity of their riffs, for 40 years through all the hardships, I would consider Metallica one of, if not THE best live act to ever set foot on a stage, and this is coming from me, an ENORMOUS Led Zeppelin fan.
Subpar audio quality at best. The worst parts were downright muddled. There were frequent times where the vocals weren't able to be heard, and it wasn't uncommon at all for the drums and bass to just be indistinguishable from each other. I feel like I missed plenty of guitar riffs too. I saw the Sunday show, but my friends saw Friday's show and said it was even worse. Pretty unsatisfying. Especially for the money.
Greatest band of all time! Praying to get to see them when they come back to Atlanta!
This was my 6th & 7th time seeing Metallica since the 90s. They still are the best concert around. I hope they come to Gillette again soon.
We had snake pit tickets. The entire experience from the Black Box Lounge to entering the pit and seeing the show that close is an experience we will never forget. Metallica puts on a show like no other. The energy of the band transfers to the thousands of fans no matter where your seats are. Absolutely incredible show and experience. So honored to be a part of the Metallica family
