It was terrible! The puppets were not that fabulous and the poor kids who voiced them, really had no idea how to captivate an audience. The cake and punch were nice, but my little girl, as many others, were dressed for the occasion, and thoroughly disappointed by the anticlimactic conclusion. At the end, my little girl asked. When is Rapunzel coming? Waiste of time and money.
We enjoyed the show very much. Mother Gothel was amazing.
There was too much dialogue and not enough actions to keep my 4 year olds attention.
The play was fabulous. We enjoyed the story. Our seats were horrible (in the 1st row-especially for a 4 year old).
Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the show. My daughter is almost four and loves fairy tales. We paid full price for our tickets, ten to park and ten for snacks. I expected better than a high school type production. The story line was complicated and difficult to follow, even for me.
Bluegrass Youth Ballet is wonderful!!! Great talent!!
I took my 4-yr-old daughter, who is just starting ballet, to see Rapunzel by the Bluegrass Youth Ballet. It was extremely well done. The dancing was beautiful, the costumes were great, and the story was entertaining and flowed well. I was afraid my daughter would have a hard time following the story, since there is no speaking. But she was familiar with that version of the fairy tale, and so she could follow it with a whisper in her ear occasionally. We both loved it, and I look forward to seeing future performances by the Bluegrass Youth Ballet!
My 4-year-old grandaughter and I were among the relatively few people who were not there to see a family member or friend perform. We were there just for the enjoyment and we both loved the original ballet. My grandaughter was able to follow the storyline easily and it was a wonderful mix of guest and student performances.. Costumes were excellent. The littlest performers were precious and the adults were well skilled. The only criticism I have is that 2 hours might be a bit long for younger viewers but other than that, it was a delight.
I took my 5-year-old daughter to see Rapunzel. She loved it. The set was very well done. She loved the tower that kept turning back and forth to show inside and outside. All of the children did an excellent job. The costumes were beautiful and the dancing was very good! The parents of the children in the show should be very proud!
Bluegrass Youth Ballet is wonderful!!! Such a great show!!! Awesome!!!
