About the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo
Whether it's your "first rodeo" or you're a lifelong fan, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) offers a diverse array of thrilling rodeo formats that celebrate the rich traditions of the West. The Best of the West Ranch Rodeo showcases the real-life skills of working cowboys and cowgirls as they ride and rope under the bright lights of the amazing Dickies Arena. Bringing the vibrant culture of the Mexican charreria to life, the Best of Mexico Celebración captivates fans with daring charro exploits, escaramuza sidesaddle drills, folklorico dancers, and mariachi music. The Cowboys of Color Rodeo unites African American, Hispanic, and Native American competitors to showcase traditional rodeo events while celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of the Western way of life. For the adrenaline junkies, the Last Cowboy Standing features the world's 40 toughest bull riders battling it out for a $50,000 winner's payday. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo Qualifier brings a modern twist to tradition, with rodeo teams coached by icons of the sport competing for the ultimate team championship. To top it all off, the FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament puts a $1.5 million purse on the line as the sport's most elite athletes compete in events like barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, and more.
Beyond the rodeo action, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo offers unforgettable entertainment for all ages. Whether it's an awesome jam or first-rate comedy, catch one of the great acts in the Auditorium Entertainment Series. Mustang Magic showcases the incredible connection between horse and human, as trainers transform wild mustangs into skilled and loyal partners. The FWSSR is all this and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed the rodeo and Dickies Arena.
We attend every year and this year the sound system was so loud we left:(
We had front row upper terrace seats in the middle section. Seats were not good seats because there’s a little wall and wire in front of you and you have to sit way up on the edge of your seat to even see the arena as a whole and there were numerous seats in the middle and lower section that were empty if those seats were made more affordable, or not sold to businesses more people would’ve had enjoyable seats
As a 6th generation native Texan, I felt a little guilty never having not attended the FWSSR. With the assistance of Ms. Julie J. Bryant, through several email correspondence sessions & Julie‘s great advice, we had an amazing time touring the vendor exhibits, viewing the livestock, and attending the rodeo semi finals. We WILL be Back!
Dickies Arena is a nice venue. Disappointed we can not purchase tickets in the 100 sections and then see so many empty seats.
The FWSSR was outstanding. Front row of the 200s gave us a great view! Already planning our 2025 visit!
Absolutely legendary! Fun for all. Great food and music with a lively atmosphere. Loved watching the Red Angus and Blach Angus cattle competitions. The Rodeo at Dickies Arena is a must see. The Dickies Arena is a spotlessly clean and fairly new venue with an Art-Deco vibe. The Midway is always a fun time. Enjoyed the various Food Truck vendors.
We aren’t huge rodeo fans but this was a very good time. Glad we went and will go again next year.
Ticket availability and prices to expensive particularly when you have to buy from individuals selling on Ticketmaster. Parking is outrageous at $17. Should offer parking passes for those coming to FWSSR several days. Food prices were very expensive,
Ticket prices were a little high. Had to sit in the 200 section up high. When I was buying tickets all the lower levels sections 100 were all sold out. When we went to the rodeo on Sunday. Lots of empty seats. Disappointing
Everything was extremely clean, and all the attendants were friendly and helpful. We compared the restrooms to Buc-ee's which are well-known for their cleanliness. The parking areas were well-marked and reasonably priced. The escalators were extremely appreciated as our seats were at the very top. But the entire arena could be easily viewed and when you wanted to really zone in on something the jumbotron was in the center above all the action. The food was all good although a little pricey, especially when you have 2 pre-teen boys that are always hungry.
The FWSS was SOO much fun! We walked around the "fairgrounds", and went to see all the animals before the rodeo. There isn't a bad seat in the Dickies Arena. I highly recommend people of any age to go.
We enjoyed the rodeo so much. We got hotdogs and cotton candy. Every server was excellent and friendly! Food was very good!
Could not have been better. Cowboys and Cowgirls put on a great show and The Dickies Arena was spectacular as always.
I love the rodeo, but cost has gotten out of hand, it was almost $200 for two tickets, $20 to park, plus $25 for popcorn, a pretzel and 1 soda...sadly, it will be our last visit for awhile until prices can come down, but they won't because they don't have too!
Had to stuff paper napkins in ears because announcer was way too loud.
The rodeo was great. Loved it as always. Can’t wait to go again
First time at the FWSSR and the experience was one we will remember. The Dickies arena is an amazing venue. Spotlessly clean with great views from every seat.
Excellent venue and the rodeo is first class. Highly recommend.
I have not been to this rodeo in about 15 years; the last time was in the previous arena. Lots of parking and traffic flow improvements in the immediate area. This rodeo was much faster paced, than years past, which I enjoyed. We attended on a Monday evening. There was no intermission show, which I did not miss at all. The Dickies Arena is a fabulous venue, the infrastructure control set up by FWPD was top notch. Easy in and easy out! Highly recommend.
