  • Good Game

I always had so much fun watching the Avalanche play at Ball Arena. The crowd was electric and the atmosphere was amazing!

  • Great Atmosphere

by Mark on 1/7/25Ball Arena - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

Nothing like an Avs game in person. The energy is pretty awesome and they engage the crowd very well. The only improvement I would make or recommend is not really having the celly squad. I think just more music clips would be better as the celly group isn't great, and the volume is often low and takes a bit of the energy out of the building. Again, that is just my opinion.

  • Potential for more

by JR on 1/5/25Ball Arena - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

This past year I attended NHL games at three other out of state venues. I always thought Av’s games were great but after seeing how other organizations make the games more high tech and interactive I now realize that the Av’s organization could do soooooo much more. The overall atmosphere in Denver is very basic compared to what others are doing (and I am a native and very loyal to this team!!!) Yes it’s about the hockey but people also pay a lot for tickets and the experience could be elevated. Overall it was a good night out with my family though.

Great game! Not quite as great as Thursday's but great just the same. Getting in Ball Arena was easier because I have a CLEAR account. Having the tickets to get through the gate on my Wallet app helped as well.

  • Love the Avs

by AvsFaithful on 1/3/25Ball Arena - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Been an Avs faithful fan since the Nordiques relocated to CO and became the Avalanche! I don’t miss watching a game! Usually watch via my television because prices are over priced! Try to attend at least 1-2 games per season in person because I love attending!! Thank you for being a classy, professional organization who (from top down) lead by example!! Love, love this team!!

  • Avalanche was a blast!

by KC on 12/25/24Ball Arena - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Took our family to the Avalanche game and had never been to a NHL game before. It was so fun! An all around great experience!

  • Too much marketing.

by SharkFan on 12/25/24Ball Arena - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

The NHL needs to let the players focus on playing hockey, and keep them away from their marketing efforts. There is way too much emphasis on advertising. Get rid of the ads on ice and on the boards.

  • Ball Arena Needs a demo and start over!

by AvsFan on 12/21/24Rating: 1 out of 5

Parking used to be better than it is now! Every year the website changes without notice to buy parking at the RAV and TUNDRA lots. Now they aren’t available online anymore. The seats are NASTY!! Tore so bad, uncomfortable and nothing like sitting on the lap of the stranger next to you! We are very average sized ppl. Food is disgusting! Nothing even somewhat healthy! Lastly, ban the orchestra you now have with the original celly squad drummers! Nobody gets pumped by hearing the trombone at a hockey game! Stick to just the drummers who know how to fire up a crowd! This arena needs to be demolished and start over with reasonable seats, comfort, space, better food options and good parking!! Good luck! Other cities and arenas have it figured out, what’s taking this arena and city so long??

  • Lackluster experience

    by KH17 on 12/15/24Ball Arena - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

This review could have been 5 star if not for a few glaring problems. We were very excited about this experience having bought the tickets 2 months ago. Getting in the parking lot was easy, plenty of help from the traffic control people. We were offered early entry with Clear, so far so good. Got some snacks and drinks for a (relatively) decent price. Still good. Got to the seats, very cramped for even average sized people. Before the game there was a fun interactive activity where you could share your selfie to the scoreboard, that was cool. As the game progressed I noticed there was not much music or activity or crowd engagement during stoppages (compared to AHL games) and it was not much fun. Also there were a ton of “TV timeouts” I know this is beyond the Avs control. The real nightmare started when we got back to our car parked in the four runner lot. As opposed to getting in, there was no direction on how to exit. There was no personnel present or signage on how to get out so it turned into immediate gridlock that left us trapped with zero movement for 20+ minutes. As the crowd got irritated and impatient it turned into a free for all that only added to the confusion. I’m quite sure regulars will scoff at this notion but it was our first time, we had no clue of the proper way to get out. This could have been easily mitigated with a few traffic controllers. At Blue arena every move you make on the way out is directed by live people. In total it took us 45 minutes to get back to the street. Love the Avs but we will stick to minor league games, the much smaller crowds, and the better fan experience. We will not be back to Ball. (Good riddance, right?) The feeling is mutual.

Excellent seats and great entertainment. Wish the avalanche would have one.
