Golden State Warriors History

Founded in 1946, the Warriors called the city of Philadelphia home for 16 memorable years before moving to the West Coast in 1962 to become the San Francisco Warriors. In 1971, the Golden State Warriors were born when the team moved across the Bay to Oakland.

The team's storied history includes seven NBA Championships, an NBA-record 73 wins during the 2015–16 season, eight players named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and 31 members inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Golden State Warriors also have the distinction of having the third most NBA Championships to their name (seven), and the third-most appearances in the NBA Finals (10). The only teams that have more are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The current team is led by two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, who won the Clutch Player of the Year Award in 2024, and eight-time All-NBA Defensive selection Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors’ most recent NBA Championship came in 2022.

  • What a time!!

by Ash on 3/2/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

I love that the do events for each culture but I'm sadden and slightly upset that when I purchased the tickets it stated that a shirt will be given instead it was a yearbook. That's false advertisement. I'm still going to support my team but please make sure that things are stated correctly. I believe plenty of patrons thought we were getting shirts. The experience within itself is always FUN! The atmosphere and vibe is always good. The food is on point. Some staff, not all, have the best energy. The warriors experience is always the best for me.

  • AN EXPERIENCE

    by P/D on 3/1/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

We visited San Francisco City from Puerto Rico, and the Christmas present for my husband was to visit his first NBA game. The Chase Center, the organization, the staff and most of all being able to see the players live was impressive. Quite an experience that we will undoubtedly repeat.

  • First Time at Chase Center

by Kim WC on 2/28/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time at our first Warriors game at Chase Center. We live far away from California; therefore, we have only attended games closer to our home state. It was my goal to attend a home game this year and was glad that happened. The game was fun, but would've been better if they actually won the game.

  • Great Game

by Lady Spark on 2/26/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed my 1st game at the Chase Center. The experience was entertaining. Let’s go Warriors!!

  • Warrios VS Lakers experience on February 22nd, 2024

by Cathy Yang on 2/25/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

The experience of watching the NBA live for the first time with my dad was great. The atmosphere was amazing and surprisingly wonderful. However, my dad was a little concerned about the food options. He noticed that most of the food was frozen and just heated up, so it lacked flavor. Additionally, there weren't many Asian food options available. It would be nice if they could provide a greater variety of food, especially considering the diverse tastes in the Bay Area.

  • Awesome

by Meika on 2/25/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

The game was awesome, I believe everyone should get a chance to experience it. The price for the tickets was extremely high. I don’t think the price was worth the seating selected. I don’t think it’s far for people to buy them out then sell them at a higher price. Other than that the game was nice for my sons to experience.

  • Best team in NBA

by Lukami on 2/24/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Best team in NBA. Stephen Curry is the best player in the NBA history.

  • Awesome Experience

by Reggie on 2/21/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

What a great evening! It was great watching the Warriors warm up and to be so engaging with the fans! The kids were so excited and it was a memorable experience!

  • Overall experience is great!

by Ivan from Macau on 2/18/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Both my kids and I had a great night, we took a lot of photos and videos during warm up time, it would be perfect if you can arrange more player interaction time, like autograph time with fans, the kids love that so much. Let's go Warriors!

  • Great game but way overpriced tickets cost

by Melody on 2/14/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Bought my tickets for more than $300 each for second floor seats but overall tickets price dropped down to less than half after I bought through the presale. What's the point of joining the priority list and paid high price for the tickets?

  • Excellent experience

by Adam Hsu on 2/14/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I got to see the 3 point buzzer beater by Curry!!! What a wonderful experience!!!

  • Warriors win & Great Chase staff

by John Donohue on 2/2/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Just a nice comment: the Chase staff that took care of the vendors that night ( I am an ambassador for Irish-American Baseball Society for Irish Night) were friendly, knowledgeable, went out of their way to help, as I had a walker. Always with smiles and helpful. Not bad the Warriors got a win, as well.

  • Great time!

by Jean Carter on 1/30/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

There was so much to do and we watched the greatest game of the year! Double overtime! I couldn’t ask for more!

  • Exciting

by Benny on 1/29/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The GS Warriors always give it their all and present an exciting game right up to the end. Love the team and the Chase Center but miss them in Oakland.

  • A Thursday with the Warriors

    by Calgal94542 on 1/29/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Fun times on a Thursday with the Warriors. So many excellent food selections and lots of fan energy. Overall a fun experience…except they lost!!!

  • Don’t buy standing room only

by Tee on 1/13/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

The “box” we had to stand in had a poor view of the court, and you’re “required” to stand in your box. Nosebleeds are 10x better.

  • Not worth the money

by Miserable fan on 1/13/24Chase Center - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

Horrible game with Warriors never taking the lead and losing by 36 points. Steph played very little and tickets, parking, food, and beverages were ridiculously expensive for such a performance.

  • What a vibe!

by Cupcake Queen on 1/8/24Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCORating: 5 out of 5

The warrior game was amazing the atmosphere was great the food and drinks were amazing pricey but good and it was just a vibe such a great time! I Can't wait to go back. Go warriors!

  • Always fun

by Nahiara on 1/7/24Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCORating: 5 out of 5

Chase is awesome, you have clear views from every point in the stadium. Going to a Warriors game is always a fun experience and if you go early enough there’s a little price for the fans in almost every game

  • Outstanding

by Matthew on 1/6/24Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCORating: 3 out of 5

Just feel… No QR code displayed when entry the canter, after that I realised the Reader from the staff was not really sensitive
