Golden State Warriors History
Founded in 1946, the Warriors called the city of Philadelphia home for 16 memorable years before moving to the West Coast in 1962 to become the San Francisco Warriors. In 1971, the Golden State Warriors were born when the team moved across the Bay to Oakland.
The team's storied history includes seven NBA Championships, an NBA-record 73 wins during the 2015–16 season, eight players named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and 31 members inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Golden State Warriors also have the distinction of having the third most NBA Championships to their name (seven), and the third-most appearances in the NBA Finals (10). The only teams that have more are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The current team is led by two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, who won the Clutch Player of the Year Award in 2024, and eight-time All-NBA Defensive selection Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors’ most recent NBA Championship came in 2022.

Fun game with a good crowd - I'm happy the Warriors won!
I LOVE the Warriors so this game was absolutely great!!! Especially since this was their 1st win!!! Didn't really enjoy witnessing Steven Jackson's attitude and lack of aggression but hopefully we'll take care of that next season!! Other than that everything was great! Can't wait to go again!!!
thanks kfog the game was very exciting and I am glad the home team won without alot of the regulars
The opening game of the season was fun. The show and the game were a great night out for the boys (12 year olds)
Great time! Love the team even if they lost their season opener!
wish seats were closer, but they were free tickets so i dont mind
It was my first time sitting in the upper level for a game, which I was apprehensive about at first. Who would have thought I would have really liked it! We sat at center court near the front of the upper level and I could see the game far better than I ever did on the lower level.
The Warriors played well and the staff at the event were friendly and professional.
Im A Laker Fan But Love Goin To Warrior Games.....
This turned out to be a family event. Everyone enjoyed the game and enjoyed the time we were able to spend together. We had a chance to see the rookies in action and some of the veterans (Ellis, Moore, Posey, etc.). I wish our seats could have been closer as there were a lot of empty seats much closer to the action. However, we were still able to see the game from the "nose bleed" section. However, it was hard trying to stay engaged during the entire games and we were not given an opportunity to get a t-shirt or pizza during the breaks...
Well for 1, The seats werent very good, and we were stuck with kids kicking us in the back and people drinking and yelling infront of us. 2nd of all, We were under the understanding that when you get tickets to see basketball teams play, the big players on each team would play. ALMOST everyone worth watching from each team didnt play. 3rd of all... The place was empty, no 1/2 time show or even really inbetween quarters or timeout stuff like they usually had.
I had a great time at this free event . Price of food there is limited and expensive. Need to update the menu..
I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF THE GAME. I LOVED HOW MY TICKETS WERE SORT OF FREE, B/C ALL I HAD TO PAY WAS THE CONVENIENCE CHARGE! IT WAS AN AWESOME NIGHT!
We won didn't we? What more can I ask for! A win is a win!
-1 star; the girls uniform were plain white no design. Is it because it's a pre-season game? Their white spankies made it look like they were wearing diapers. Other than that, the event was exciting to watch.
It was a fun and exiting game. The Warrior won!!!!!!!!!!
Going to the arena to see NBA ball really is a Great Night Out !
