About

Sold-out global concert tours. Ratings-shattering broadcast specials. A best-selling author. A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And a few Guinness Book of World Records set for good measure. Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is a comedy superstar and one of the world's most inventive entertainers. After graduating from Baylor University, he moved to Los Angeles to base his global touring and never looked back. The man Slate called "America's favorite comedian" has 11 record-breaking comedy specials to his credit - three were Comedy Central's most viewed specials of their respective years ("Me the People," 2022; "Minding the Monsters," 2012; "Controlled Chaos," 2011), and his "Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special," 2008, remains the network's highest rated program of all time. His NBC primetime special, "Unhinged," ranked as the time period's top non-sports program on the Big 4, rebroadcast six weeks later on Comedy Central to become its top rated special of 2016. His most recent special "Me the People" arrived as the highest rated stand-up special since "Jeff Dunham: The Unrehearsed Pandemic Special" two years ago, and the most watched comedy special of 2022.

His autobiography, All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed and Me, landed Dunham on the New York Times' Best Seller list three weeks in a row. He was also named Billboard's Top Comedy Tour for three consecutive years. The versatile entertainer created an animated film for CMT, hosted the Food Network's Halloween Baking Championship, guested on ABC's "Ellen," NBC's "30 Rock," Disney's "Sonny with a Chance," did commercials for Hertz, and appeared in Jay Roach's Dinner for Schmucks, featuring Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd. Dunham, "a dressed-down, more digestible version of Don Rickles with multiple personality disorder" according to TIME, can currently be seen on his Jeff Dunham: Artificial Intelligence tour. • Perfectly Unbalanced laughter all night long

    by Kat2001 on 3/13/17Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Great show with tons of laughter, new material and Jeff even introduced a new character so that was cool. Oracle Arena is a great venue to see shows too. Our seats were to the side, but the view was still enjoyable. I'd really recommend seeing Jeff Dunham. I'll go again!

  • GREAT comedy show!

Jeff Dunham was a great show, from stories about his family to his many ventriloquist characters. It was not only hilarious but long, no short cuts taken by this man!

  • A bit conservative

by ForestPerson on 3/13/17Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

Jeff tried a few newer lines that were a bit too conservative. They did not go over well in our more liberal area. They produced a low groan over the crowd. Not an actual booing but a definite displeasing sound. People let him know this was not an area to tell certain jokes.

Jeff was pretty good. His first act was not as funny as his previous shows. But he more than made up with his characters. There was a good family theme throughout the show.

  • Jeff Dunham was a hilarious surprise!

by avehonduras on 3/13/17Save Mart Center - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased tickets for this show. I expected to be entertained but I didn't expect to laugh so much my face hurt leaving the venue. The event started relatively on time, about 15 minutes later than scheduled, but I've certainly had much worse. What I didn't expect was that Mr. Dunham would come on alone with no props or puppets and just talk for the first hour - it was hilarious! He talked about his family, went off on many glorious tangents, and had the audience rolling well before his characters joined the show. When the puppets finally joined, they didn't disappoint either. My favorite was Peanut, and as always, the moments that are unscripted are by far the funniest. At one point, Mr. Dunham accidentally threw Peanut across the stage and I thought I would die. The show didn't conclude until around 10:30pm and I certainly felt like he put on a good show, and gave us good value for our money. I would definitely see him again!

  • Piss your pants funny!

by LovellBoyz on 3/13/17Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

OMG! after years of watching his shows on television we had to see him in concert! The comedy was just as it is on the tv but the energy of all that live laughter was just side splitting! We had a great seats, 3 rows back off the floor and in my opinion were better (and cheaper) than my friends seats down on the floor and he said he had to watch the monitor. the show was GREAt but the venue SUCKS! THE PARKING SUCKS $40.00 really? We never found the gift booth and we walked around over half the floor looking for it! The "refreshments" were a rip off. $6.50 for a 16oz Dasani water? $10 for popcorn!

  • Laughed all night!!

  • Language and Theme

by NOvadon on 3/13/17Oracle Arena - OaklandRating: 2 out of 5

A wise man once said that profanity is the attempt of a feeble mind to express itself. I had seen several video's of Mr. Dunham where profanity was sparingly used. In this performance every other sentence was laced with profanity. I had invited a friend to attend with me and I was embarrassed. His entire show revolved around the humor theme of being and old / new father, being that he remarried a woman 19 years younger than himself and they have twin boys under the age of 2 years. A few of jokes along that theme were good, but throughout the show, it got old. He did introduce an Irish Baby character with Irish humor that was good. In short, I can not recommend the show due to the fore mentioned issues.

My daughter and I had a great time. 3 days later and we are still talking about it. Jeff was not just funny, but personal too. We like him more today, because we got to know him more!

  • Jeff Dunham, why the F word?

by nobragjustfact on 3/12/17Save Mart Center - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

Funny, good act. But like so many comedians, they dont understand that liberal use of the F word does not make you funnier. When used too much, it is not so much offensive, but it is a distraction similar to a repetitive, annoying mannerism. F word is best when used for shock value, coming out of no where and catching people off guard, it adds emphasis. It's like any spice, you gotta know how much and when to use it.
