Great event, wonderful accessibility to many areas. Fun to see how the owners respond to placing of animals. Didn't love the Best of Show, but to each his own. Worth the price you pay.
I sincerely enjoyed this dock show. It is not only a show that I enjoyed. I was able to spend happy time in the bench area. There were a lot of wonderful dogs and owner who waited for the show there. All the people and dogs were very friendly. I made so many friends there both persons and dogs.
Tons of dogs. All kinds of dogs. All sizes and types and colors of dogs. Watching the breed judging was hysterical -- all those identical-looking dogs in one place - it looked like someone had photo-shopped the ring. I just wish that neutered dogs could compete. Too many of the characteristics of breeds are just human preference - such as color and size. Breed for temperament, health and strength. That should be it. And maybe have a limit on how many times each dog can be bred before being neutered. The Scottish deerhound that won best in show is only 5 years old, will retire to breed and wil probably die of natural old age in less than 3 years. Bizarre.
This was our first time to the dog show and we had a fun time. We really enjoyed getting close to the dogs, talking to their owners and watching them prepare for show time.
First time at this event. It was a great time. I wish the owners, handlers would let you pet and meet the dogs more. Some were very receptive and others were not. I will go again.

The best part was to go behind the scenes and pet all the worlds most beautiful dogs. I loved every minute of the show!
My first time there, an incredible experience. I was expected to see shell-shocked dogs who had no personality because they had to perform, but it was quite the opposite. The dogs were playful and quite "normal" and just happened to be immaculately groomed and had perfect form.
Haven't been to the show in several years, but noticed that it seemed to be less crowded then the last time I went. Moving the vendors to a different location seemed to make it that you could move around the benching area with greater ease. Plus it gave the breed area a bit more space between asles.
I am a bit biased; my dog won! With a really large entry of 40 Vizslas, GCH Cinnabars Aldebaran Epiphany got Best Of Breed. It was an amazing dream come true.
The show was great! The seating was basically general admission (which we did not know) so we sat in the front row the whole time. It was also tons of fun to go to the benching area where the dogs are before and after they compete. We were able to pet a bunch of dogs and learn more about the preperation for the event. I would recommend it to anyone who loves dogs!
Seeing all the competition leading up to the televised event is great. On the other hand, the benching area, acknowledging the construction at MSG, took away from the enjoyment
It was remarkable to be able to walk down around the benching area and play with the dogs, watch them being groomed, etc. I was also amazed to be able to get so close to the judging rings !
