Our 2nd time seeing him live. He’s hilarious and clean. His jokes about his kids are the best!
I saw Jim Gaffigan at The Funny Bone Comedy Club in St Louis in 1988 (for my bachelorette party). When I found out he was playing at Amalie Arena, I had to go. He was HILARIOUS!! I will be going again when he’s in Chicago later this year:-)
The ticket price was decent compared to what other shows cost. The seating is terrible if you are over 6ft tall or have on knee high boots (my wife). I think most of these arenas pack you in like sardines without caring about your comfort. The show started late which made the seats that more uncomfortable. Once sitting you cannot get up for any reason without pretty much the entire row getting up to let you out. Very embarrassing, uncomfortable, and annoying especially at a comedy show. The first comedian was not funny to me. Jim was great in spots, good in others, and not funny in a few. Overall I liked the experience because it was my wife’s birthday surprise, our first time doing something like this, and taking a chance on seeing Jim G live. We would do it again but floor seats are a must if you need room and want to get up for snacks or the restroom.
As always, Jim Gaffigan came through - and we laughed uproariously throughout his performance. The opener is pretty good - but we would, of course, prefer MORE of Jim.
First his opening act was super funny ; sorry I don’t recall his name. Jim was outstanding, asked my GF afterwards were there any jokes you didn’t laugh at. We both said no as they were all funny. I listen and watch tik toks and thought maybe I would hear a joke I had previously heard but no; all new stuff which was appreciated. I would absolutely see him again; his delivery and the quiet talk to urself comments are classic and so unique to him. Highly recommend.
Jim Gaffigan is amazing. We had the best time ever and laughed a lot!
I’ve always loved Jim Gaffigan when I’ve seen clips on YouTube or Facebook, but his live show in Tampa was pretty mediocre. He was on stage for about an hour (following a below mediocre warm up act) and just didn’t make me laugh very much. Maybe the size of Amalie Arena detracted from the performance, but I was definitely underwhelmed. I’ve spent much less money in Comedy Clubs and laughed a whole lot more.
First time I got to see Jim live and did not disappoint! We laughed from start to finish. All new material: he’s hilarious and his clean style comedy is fun and appropriate for all ages. Love it! Open comedian was very funny too. Both my husband and me enjoyed every minute of the show. Don’t miss it!
The comedy show (Jim Gaffigan) was a very fun and entertaining evening. The parking and access to the arena was easy. The staff inside were super helpful in helping people to navigate to their seat, bathrooms or other areas in need.
Great New Year's Eve show! Jim was hilarious, though I was surprised to hear him go on about his passion for bourbon. We enjoyed the warm-up comedian, too.
