Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition launches this February

The mobile version of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV has a brand new product page on the App Store – on which the release date was unveiled.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will launch on February 9th on iOS, according to the App Store page, while the Google Play’s page doesn’t display any release date for the Android version yet (but fans can still pre-register to get notified when it releases).

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will retell the entire story of its console’s counterpart and will be free-to-play, with ten episodes available at launch. Episode 1 will be free, while episode 2 and 3 will set consumers back $0.99 each. From episode 4, each chapter will cost $3.99. The entire story can be bought for $19.99.

Having been a massive hit on consoles, Final Fantasy XV will also finally launch on PC on March 6th, with a Royal Edition (including all the DLC and a new dungeon) landing on Xbox One and PS4 on the same day. “We felt a necessity for a PC version right after starting the development of the console version,” game director Hajime Tabata told MCV back in October.
