Another week, another consecutive No.1 for Far Cry 5, for the third week on the trot.
It’s a similar story to previous Ubisoft launches The Division (2016) and Ghost Recon: Wildlands (2017) which both had four weeks at No.1, although it’s a fairly safe bet that Far Cry 5 will face serious, angry, competition when God of War launches at the end of the week.
God of War and Yakuza 6’s impending launches are essential for a chart that is starting to appear a little stagnant. There are now new entries in the UK boxed games charts, same as last week, and all of the games in this week’s Top Ten, barring Fallout 4, actually sold less copies than last week.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has climbed to No.3, despite selling 17 per cent less copies than last week when it took number 7. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds holds steady at No.5 despite a drop in sales of 41 per cent.
Still, it’s a safe bet that we’ll see significant change next week as both Yakuza 6 and God of War launch.
Here’s are the charts, for the week ending April 14th. (Data courtesy of GfK/Ukie)
