PS3 and Xbox 360 Mortal Kombat X won’t make June release – report

It seems that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 SKUs of Mortal Kombat X will not be out on their intended June 6th release date.

A number of retailers have changed the game’s listing from the above date to TBC, or simply removed the date altogether.

Kotaku is also reporting that US retailer GameStop is informing customers that the game has been delayed until the end of the year.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions to the bloody fighting game were originally set for release alongside the PS4, Xbox One and PC SKUs in April, but were pushed back to the summer.

Mortal Kombat X was top of the UK charts for three weeks in a row when it launched.

Creative director Ed Boon also took to Twitter after the game’s launch to say it was the fastest selling title in the series to date.

MCV has reached out to Warner Bros for confirmation.
