Peripheral creator Roccat have reportedly turned their hand to video game development with their new title, Sick City.
The project, developed by Roccat Games Studio, was unveiled by Engadget who reported that the game is coming to Steam Early Access, although details about the game and who it is that is making the game appear to be quite secretive.
"We can’t go into specifics on who at the time," said Roccat marketing manager, Tuan Mai, to Engadget. "But I can tell you that the team is composed of experienced developers that have worked at other game studios in Hamburg before."
A little more digging reveals that the trademark for Sick City was registerd by Roccat back in August 2015, so this has been a little while coming. Roccat are better known for making gaming peripherals like keyboards and mice, and their eSports sponsorship with Team Roccat.
This isn’t the first time a peripheral creator has moved over to the game production side of the industry. MadCatz recently publishing Harmonix title Rock Band 4, before filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.
