New LEGO Dimensions packs confirmed, including A-Team, Knight Rider, Gremlins

As if there was any doubt about it, Warner Bros is going all out to target parents just as much as it is kids with a wide and assorted range of new brands coming to LEGO Dimensions this year.

As revealed earlier this week, Adventure Time, Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are on the way, as is the new Ghostbusters film and hit ‘80s movie The Goonies, along with Sonic the Hedgehog, Powerpuff Girls, Mission Impossible and Teen Titans Go.

However, joining this selection are some other hit franchises for parental youth – ET, Knight Rider, Gremlins and Beetlejuice. There will also be content from LEGO Batman and LEGO City Undercover.

All will work with the existing game and hardware. Also incoming is a new four-player split-screen local multiplayer mode.

The Ghostbusters Story Pack sounds like the most fleshed out of the additions, including a story mode based on this summer’s movie and new LEGO Gateway bricks that allow users to build Zhu’s Chinese Restaurant on top of the existing LEGO Toy Pad.

We’ve built upon the existing LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack to expand the gameplay possibilities with entirely new LEGO experiences that can’t be found anywhere else,” TT Games MD Tom Stone said.

We can now provide players with even more customization and mash-up opportunities, and all are compatible with the existing game and packs. Battle Arenas also introduce a fun new way for friends and family to join the action together and battle as favourite characters, which is an exciting innovation for LEGO video games.”
