The voice of an actually quite obscene number of video game’s most iconic characters has teased a big project on the way from Warner Bros.
As per a recent spotlight feature on Grantland:
Lastly, he’ll visit Warner Bros for a video game, another ‘big, big project’ that he can’t talk about other than to say, ‘That’ll be another 10 years of my life’.”
What could that project be? Well, North did star in Warner’s highly successful Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, in which he provided the voice for the Black hand of Sauron. A sequel to that game is almost a certainly, but North could equally be starring in any number of projects.
The actor’s games CV is long, to say the least. The rest of 2015 will see him star as Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and feature in Black Ops II and Disney Infinity 3.0.
Recent years have included appearances in LEGO Jurassic World, Dying Light, Tales from the Borderlands, LittleBigPlanet 3, WoW: Warlords of Draenor, Titanfall, Batman: Arkham Knight, Saints Row IV, Dota 2, The Last of Us, Assassin’s Creed IV, Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim, Portal 2, Mafia II, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Final Fantasy XIII, Army of Two, Dragon Age: Origins, Halo 3, Prototype, Infamous, Prince of Persia, Fable II, The Darkness, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Driver: Parallel Lines, Gun, God of War and many, many more.
