Dying Light hits 5m copies sold

Dying Light has sold 5m units since its launch in January, developer Techland has announced.

Producer Tymon Smektala revealed the milestone In an interview with VideoGamer during gamescom last week.

"To be honest, I think even we are a little surprised by the scope of our success," Smektala said. "We knew that we’d made a good game. If you are a gamer, even if you make games you are still a gamer, so we know the game is good when you feel that rush when you play."

Dying Light is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC and Linux. Techland is currently working on DLC for the game, with the studio further stating its considering a full-fledged sequel.
