Alleged new Warner Bros division emerges through several job profile pages

â??Warner Bros Games Chicagoâ?? spotted

Warner Bros’ newly-purchased Midway studios are emerging as their reformed, restructured and rebranded selves, according to reports.

Job profiles of apparent employees from “WB Games” have been found dotted around the professional networking site LinkedIn, with Midway’s Chicago studio – responsible for developing Mortal Kombat games – being named on such profiles as “WB Games Chicago”.

Anonymous blogger Superannuation has spotted LinkedIn profiles that seem to piece together Warner Bros’ new empire of game studios, which were auctioned to the company for around $49 million.

The social networking site shows a public profile of Connie Gabelein, a HR employee who calls herself a “recruiter/HR generalist for the WB Game family of studios, which includes Monolith Productions, Surreal Software, Snowblind Studios and WB Games Chicago.”

In addition, the former Midway CTO Michael Weilbacher names himself as “head of WB Games Chicago."

Warner Bros has not made an official announcement regarding the suspected rebranding, though the company has purchased the studios mentioned by Gabelein.
