Activision’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 has knocked off Titanfall to debut at No.1 in the UKIE GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40.
It’s the publisher’s first No.1 since Call of Duty: Ghosts back in December last year. The game outsold its predecessor The Amazing Spider-Man, which peaked at No.2 in 2012.
As a result, Titanfall tumbles to second place but still manages to stay ahead of its fellow EA titles. FIFA 14 climbs to the No.3 spot this week and ahead of 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, which is forced to settle for No.4.
Elsewhere in this week’s chart, Ubisoft’s Child of Light debuts in ninth whilst Nintendo’s new 3DS release Mario Golf: World Tour lands at No.22.
The PC edition of Dark Souls II pushes Namco Bandai’s RPG up four places to No.14.
