The Gfinity Elite Series has revealed the kick off date for the tournament’s second season.
Gfinity Elite Series season 2 will start on October 6 2017, and will continue to be broadcast live from the Gfinity Esports Arena in Fulham, London.
This series will run each weekend from October 6 until December 9. However, a change in schedule will see Rocket League moving from Sunday night to Saturday morning, while Street Fighter V remains in Friday evening and CS:GO clings to its Saturday night slot.
The series will see some new faces, with the second Elite Draft held on September 15.
Greg Champagne, the managing director of Team Epsilon who are competing in the Elite Series, said in a press release: “Following a very successful Elite Series for Epsilon Esports and building an entire Rocket League team from drafted players, we look forward to seeing the new player talent coming from the Elite Draft and truly excited for the second season of the Gfinity Elite Series to get underway so we can start the campaign for defending our title."
Neville Upton, Gfinity’s CEO, added: “Following the incredibly successful Gfinity Elite Series season one, we are extremely pleased to bring back all the competitive professional gameplay live at the Gfinity Esports Arena and broadcast online and on linear television starting the 6th October. We also welcome back some of the best players in the competitive gaming community and look forward to seeing the newly discovered talent that comes from the Challenger Series via the Elite Draft.”
