ESL One leaves Frankfurt and heads to Hamburg for Dota event

ESL has announced ESL One Hamburg as the replacement to its annual ESL One Frankfurt event.

The yearly German Dota 2 event has been held in Frankfurt for the past three years usually around June. This year however the even is making the switch to Hamburg and will take place in late October.

The Barclaycard Arena will host eight top teams who will battle it out for a share of $250,000 on October 28th and 29th.

“Having ESL One in Frankfurt for three consecutive years was a tremendous learning experience that showed us how much the Dota 2 community cares about the competitive scene and everything around it,” said Ulrich Schulze, Vice President Pro Gaming at ESL. “We’re confident that with the new location and a better date ESL One Hamburg will once again play host to the world class Dota 2 competition that ESL One is known for.”

Tickets go on sale early next week. A weekend ticket costs €35, a weekend plus ticket costs €85, premium tickets are €229 and the Aegis Experience tickets return and will cost €2.999 for 5 people.
