The 2015 League of Legends World Championships are heading to Europe, and will be filling out stadiums in London, Paris, Brussels and Berlin.
Riot Games has announced the venues and dates for this year’s finals, following on from 2014’s South-East Asian tour, which ended in the 2002 World Cup stadium Sangam Park in Seoul, South Korea.
This year, every weekend throughout October, the world’s best League of Legends team will clash first in Le Dock Pullman, in Paris, for the group stages on October 1-4 and 8-11. Next weekend, October 15-18, the Quarter Finals will take place in the SSE Arena at Wembley, London, the stage of an EU LCS encounter in last year’s league.
The Semi Finals will take place the next weekend, October 24-25, at the Brussels Expo in Brussels, Belgium. And the Grand Finals will take place on Halloween at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. Costumes are optional for attendees, though Riot is sure to capitalise on the timing of their main event for the 17,000 capacity crowd in the former O2 Arena.
