South Korean esports outfit Lunatic Hai to field teams for Battlegrounds and CS:GO

Lunatic-Hai, a South Korean esports outfit best known as two-time back-to-back OGN Overwatch Apex winners, has announced in a post on Facebook that they will be fielding teams in CS:GO and PUBG.

The announcement was in Korean, but has been translated by Slingshot Esports.

In the announcement, Lunatic Hai state: ““Our team is planning to enter new games, as well as opening an official website,” the announcement reads. “The games are Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds…Additionally, we hope to clarify on some current misunderstandings. Lunatic-Hai has been a FPS clan, and have been operated for a long history. We are currently separate from the sponsor of the Overwatch team.”

Lunatic-Hai has been involved in FPS games for a long time, but it’s their Overwatch team that has caught fans attention, an Overwatch team that was recently picked up as Seoul’s Overwatch League franchise team.

If Lunatic-Hai can recapture that sort of success with their Battlegrounds or Counter-Strike teams, they’ll be in to a winner. Lunatic Hai only dropped out of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2015, but that’s a very long time for a scene where things change quickly.
