The Humble Freedom Bundle raised $6.43m

A spectacular Humble Bundle designed to raise money for human rights and pro-immigration charities has made an astonishing $6.43m.

Unlike normal Humble Bundles, this one saw 100% of the money split between three charities – the American Civil Liberties Union, the International Rescue Committee and Mdecins Sans Frontires.

At the time Humble said it would match the purchase amount up to $300k. which in fact means the total amount raised is $6.73m.

The Freedom Bundle was very much seen as a response to the anti-immigration actions of American President Donald Trump, who has tried to enforce border bans for people from specific Muslim countries and has also overseen an increase on raids on some foreign born residents.

The Bundle itself was ridiculous value, offering a huge number of games including some titles such as The Witness, Stardew Valley, Mini Metro, Subnautica, Nuclear Throne, The Stanley Parable, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Invisible Inc, Super Meat Boy, Super Hexagon, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Human Resource Machine, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, World of Goo, The Swapper, 2064: Read Only Memories and VVVVVV.

Also included were (deep breath): Overgrowth, Mushroom 11, No Time to Explain Remastered, Thirty Flights of Loving, Spirits, RocketsRocketsRockets, Any Empire, A Virus Named TOM, 7 Grand Steps: What Ancients Begat, Retro Game Crunch, Tower of Guns, Waking Mars, Song of the Deep, Monster Loves You!, AI War: Fleet Command, Sproggiwood, Hot Tin Roof: The Cat That Wore A Fedora, Secrets of Rtikon, Girls Like Robots, Ellipsis, Streamline, Ninja Pizza Girl, Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball as well as some audio books and eBooks.
