German studio's Asian studio working with MTV on new 'entertainment channel'

10tacle and MTV paired for Asian online push

10tacle Studios Asia and MTV Networks Asia have teamed up to produce a new online entertainment channel that will include games, a virtual world, and community functions.

The studio is already working with the world-famous music channel to put together a similar project for the German market.

Launching next year, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Phillipines will get the service first, with additional countries to follow.

“The 10tacle Studios and MTV partnership is a milestone for MTV Networks in strengthening our online gaming, entertainment and lifestyle offering to our audience in Asia. It is anticipated with tremendous synergies between MTV’s branded content and 10tacle Studios technology, as well as, the ability to create completely new multi-platform interactive experiences engaging MTV’s audience across the region," commented Robert Kim, digital media boss at MTV Networks Asia.

“10T Asia has redefined itself from a traditional games and production business by spearheading 10tacle Studios’ international online entertainment and lifestyle strategy. This close collaboration with MTV opens up incredibly exciting opportunities in the interactive digital media space through the convergence of on-air and online media platforms”, acknowledges Aroon Tan, CEO of 10tacle Studios Asia.

“Since our beginnings in 2003, I have always dreamt about the power and potential of a truly Asian – European development where we can maximise our unique advantage of having regional headquarters in both markets. By achieving such a relationship in two key territories, I have great confidence in our ability of conquering this new media space. With a truly convergent platform, and the ideal partner in MTV, we set out to grab this ready made market that engages in digital music downloads, social networks, games and virtual worlds.”
