Leipzig debut for PES 2008 on PS3

Japanese publisher and developer Konami has revealed that the first public unveiling of the PS3 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will take place at next month’s Games Convention in Leipzig.

Situated at Konami’s stand (Hall 4, Booth B11), attendees will be able to play the series’ first outing in Sony’s next-gen console. In addition, gamers will also be able to sample the game on other formats, including 360 and PC.

A number of Konami’s key developers will also be at hand to discuss some of the company’s other featured titles, including PSP pair Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles and Silent Hill Origins.

We will witness one of the most exciting system changes ever at this year’s Games Convention, commented Martin Schneider, sales and marketing director Germany for Konami.

We can promise visitors and gamers in Leipzig that Konami will play a major role in this years gaming year – delivering new games and additions to popular franchises, while producing exciting games for new systems and established formats.”

Games Convention begins on August 23rd.
