ESL on their first live FGC event: ‘New York…doesn’t get the same amount of attention from tournament organizers as the West Coast does’

The Brooklyn Beatdown will be ESL’s first Street Fighter LAN event, and the long-standing esports production company is leaning on the community to make sure it runs smoothly.

When it comes to their live events, ESL is traditionally known for large-scale, closed tournaments. But when it came to working with the fighting game community, ESL’s Street Fighter product manager Stuart Ewen says that they needed to switch up their usual format and go with what the FGC expected.
