Develop:Brighton speakers include devs from BioWare, Microsoft, Riot Games, and Ubisoft

Organisers of Develop:Brighton, Tandem Events, has announced the conference will host speakers from a diverse range of studios, including BioWare, Eidos Montreal, Jagex, Microsoft, Riot Games, and Ubisoft.

The sessions recently announced "cover a range of topics important to the present and future of game development, including inclusivity, early access, machine learning and augmented reality". Rob Bridgett from Eidos Montreal will "be drawing from his two decades of experience in the industry" for his Audio Track keynote about video game audio design.

Two roundtables have also been announced; a discussion about unionisation hosted by Game Workers Unite, and a Women in Games roundtable will discuss the challenges faced by women working in the industry "and how best to address them".

"We’re thrilled to reveal the first round of speakers heading to Develop:Brighton in July," said Andy Lane, managing director of Tandem Events. "Each year we’re fortunate to attract some of the most creative minds in the industry, and this year is no different – we’ve got a great line up of fascinating talks that developers will be keen to attend."

Super Early Bird passes for the event are available now. Develop:Brighton 2019’s opening keynote will be announced soon, with the next round of speakers to be revealed as the event approaches.

The Develop:Star Awards will take place on July 10th, at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton, during Develop:Brighton 2019. The Develop:Star Awards – which take place alongside the Develop conference – will "recognise the very best of the game development community". The achievements of developers and success of their games will be celebrated across 15 categories, plus one ultimate Develop Star, which is given to an "extraordinary game developer" for outstanding achievement and contribution to the industry.
