Jagex recruiting team to hit Guildford

Jagex Games Studio is heading to Guildford next week to host and meet industry professionals interested in joining the developer.

The event comes in response to the expected closure of EA Bright Light, and Codemasters move to shut-down its Guildford studio, affecting as many as 70 jobs.

Developers will have the opportunity to talk with Jagex managers about positions across the business.

Representatives from the studio’s tech, art, production and commercial teams will be in attendance.

The event will take place on the 25th October at the White House Pub in Guildford from 4pm, and the studio is inviting professionals from all disciplines to attend.

Jagex did a similar event in Dundee last August, offering opportunities to former Realtime Worlds and Cohort staff following closures.

The developer claims to have recruited and relocated over 60 people in 2010 following the closures of these studios and the likes of Bizarre Creations, Black Rock and Juice Games.
