Develop Awards nominations deadline is the 9th of May – it’s time to get your entries in

The entry deadline for this year’s Develop Awards is fast approaching. The date for entries for the 2018 awards is the 9th of May, so you only have a few days left to put yours together.

The Develop Awards is the premier games development awards ceremony in the UK. They cover every aspect of the industry, from the top studios, to technical specialisations, to supporting teams and engines.

You’ve worked hard all year, so get your team the recognition it deserves by nominating them for a Develop Award. For more details and to submit your nominations head to Develop Awards 2018

And we’ve completely overhauled the awards process this year.

That means new categories, a new entry system and a new judging process to ensure that the right experts are judging your category, so the industry can trust that the Develop Awards really are the mark of excellence in video games. That starts with clearer criteria for your entry and easy to use Word documents so you can get internal sign off for your entries.

Our awards remain free-to-enter for all qualifying teams and studios, and they are firmly established as the unrivalled badge of excellence for the UK and European games sector. The awards are presented at a stylish ceremony with over 500 of the industry’s leading figures in attendance, to celebrate the achievements of the industry’s finest teams and individuals.

BIG NIGHT OUT

The awards run alongside the Develop:Brighton conference, so it’s another great reason to spend a couple of days in the sun on the south coast too.

The Develop Awards are changing for the better this year. In consultation with the industry, we’ve completely rethought both the evening and the awards process.

For the evening, after listening to feedback, we’ve lengthened the drinks reception, made the sit-down portion of the meal shorter, reduced the number of award categories – which will then be presented in a faster format – and so create a more interactive, social evening focused on networking and having fun, whilst still celebrating the achievements of the industry!
