Batman: Arkham Asylum studio receive dual recognition at Develop Industry Excellence awards in Brighton

Develop Awards: Rocksteady takes two prizes

London-based Warner Bros. subsidiary Rocksteady Studios took away two prizes at the prestigious 2010 Develop Industry Excellence Awards held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton last night.

The studio was awarded both Best Use of a Licence or IP for the highly acclaimed and popular title Batman: Arkham Asylum, and the In-House Studio award in recognition of the lucrative purchasing of the firm by Batman licence-holders Warner Bros. following the success of the earlier project.

Rocksteady was among a spate of dual-award winners at the packed-out event which also included middleware firm Unity and new indie studio Hello Games. The firm is currently working on a follow-up to their smash-hit Batman game, presently running with the tentative title Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, and set for release next year.
