Hyper Light Drifter also wins big

Quadrilateral Cowboy takes the top prize at the IGF festival

Blendo Games’ Quadrilateral Cowboy has taken the top prize at the 19th Independent Games Festival last night, snagging the $30,000 Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Best Independent Game.

Blendo Games’ title also picked up an award for Excellence in Design.

The other big winner was Hyper Light Drifter, an action-adventure RPG from developer Heart Machine. It received awards for Excellence in Visual Art and the Audience Award, which is chosen from amongst all IGF awards via an online voting process.

If you’re in San Francisco for GDC, every IGF title can be played by any GDC pass holder and are located in the IGF Pavilion for the length of the show.

All winners win a $3,000 prize, the Nuovo award comes with a $5,000 prize and there is a $30,000 reward for the grand prize winner. These winners are below.
