Sony Santa Monica’s God of War has picked up another Game of the Year award – this time, from the Game Developers Choice Awards. Return of the Obra Dinn secured the award for Best Narrative, while Best Mobile Game went to Florence.
Gris, Red Dead Redemption II, Into the Breach, and Mountains all topped their categories, too.
The GDC Awards – run in conjunction with the Independent Games Festival – is described as the "premier accolades for peer recognition" in the games industry. Here are the winners from both the IGF and DGC awards:

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Amy Hennig to "celebrate her outstanding artistry, creativity, and her incredible impact on game development". Previous recipients include Tim Schafer, Tim Sweeney, Shigeru Miyamoto, Warren Spector, John Carmack, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Hideo Kojima, Sid Meier, Ken Kutaragi, Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, and Peter Molyneux. Recipients are selected by the Game Developers Choice Special Awards Jury, which includes game industry leaders.
