UK Chancellor George Osborne has promised expanded support for video games industry via tax credits.
During today’s Budget 2015 session of Parliament, the Chancellor of the Exchequer said tax credits for the TV and film industries will become "more generous", while more support was promised to the games industry.
The government is also introducing tax relief for orchestras.
"Britain is a cultural centre of the world and with these tax changes I’m determined it will centre that way," the Chancellor told Parliament.
The Treasury also confirmed the news via Twitter:
…make TV and film tax credits more generous, expand support for the video games industry and launch new tax credit for orchestras #Budget15

Tax breaks for the games industry were finally introduced last year, with 32 games already making use of them.
