Glu has embarked on a fresh wave of expansion, with a third development studio in China and new offices in Italy and Spain.
The Beijing studio will be headed by Kim Daniel Arthur, formerly the head of Glu’s studio in London.
Meanwhile, the new offices in Milan and Madrid reflect the growing importance of the Italian and Spanish markets in Glu’s EMEA operations and the subsequent need to tailor its offerings to local tastes.
Glu has been selling mobile games in Italy and Spain since 2004 and in China since 2005. The company now has nine offices worldwide.
Greg Ballard, president and CEO of Glu Mobile, said: "It has always been our philosophy that our success as a global publisher depends on addressing and serving the needs of regional markets. Establishing a third development studio in Beijing will allow us to strengthen our internal development and porting capabilities and create content for both the western and Asian markets."
