Momentum behind July's Develop Industry Excellence Awards is building, with the event scoring sponsorship from Codemasters and NCsoft.

New sponsors back the Develop Awards

Codemasters is Platinum partner for the anticipated awards event, which takes place on July 25th at Brighton’s Hilton Metropole Hotel.

Taking part as ‘Codemasters – powered by Neon’, the UK publishing and development heavyweight is in a drive to grow its development technology and staff.

Codemasters is currently hard at work on a number of games that use its new next-gen Neon engine, including Colin McRae DIRT and Race Driver One, and is also on the hunt for new externally-developed games to publish.

Gavin Cheshire, VP of Codemasters Studios commented: “Codemasters has always enjoyed participating in the Develop Awards and this year we are delighted to be a leading sponsor.

“As ever, Codemasters Studios is always hunting for the hottest new dev talent and the conference and the awards night is a perfect mixing ground to meet and talk to interested parties.”

NCsoft is also supporting the Develop Award as Gold sponsor. “It’s a great event to be associated with,” said Dirk Metzger, marketing director at NCsoft Europe.

“We want to support the development community in the UK and Europe – we’re starting to ramp up recruitment on the development side.”

Taking place alongside the Develop Conference and Expo in Brighton, The Develop Industry Excellence Awards reward the hard work of UK and European studios in the last 12 months.
With the lobbying now closed, the shortlist will be announced in Develop and MCV on June 8th.
