Red 5 Studios, the team founded by former World of Warcraft developers, has signed up game designer Scott Youngblood.

Youngblood is Red 5’s new blood

Although his new position is undisclosed, Youngblood will presumably be helping the team as it works on its new MMO project.

Before joining Red 5, Youngblood worked at SCEA as the lead multiplayer designer on Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.

Red 5 has been building a big roster of in-house talent for RPG desigh. Youngblood joins a number of other well-known designers at Red 5 which includes creative director for Dungeons & Dragons 3.0 and 3.5, Ed Stark, and David Williams, lead designer of the collectible card games Legend of the Five Rings, Doomtown, and City of Heroes CCG.
