Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko leaves Gambit Esports to return to Na’Vi

Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko has returned to Natus Vincere after a year-long stint as Gambit Esports in-game leader that culminating in the team being crowned as PGL Major winners.

In a Twitlonger, Teslenko talked about why he left Gambit, and it all seems to come down to coach Mykhailo ‘Kane’ Blagin, who has also jumped from Gambit to Na’vi, replacing Andrey ‘Andi’ Prokhorov as the team’s coach.

According to the Twitlonger, spotted by Dot Esports, many of Gambit’s players and management had issues with Blagin, however Teslenko came to Gambit with the condition that Blagin would be the coach. Dissatisfaction the Blagin’s performance rose to a head over the last few months, and according to Teslenko: “at this stage the guys decided to kick our coach Kane, even with the condition that I will leave with him.”

Teslenko’s run with Gambit saw the team climb the world rankings with several big victories with him at the in-game helm, but it seems the interpersonal issues have seen Gambit agree to a transfer buyout from Na’Vi, which will return Teslenko to Na’Vi with Blagin.

"Life provides unexpected opportunities," Na`Vi’s CEO Yevhen Zolotarov said in a statement. "I am proud that the legend is back to the club."
