Rise of Nations developer Big Huge Games has made two large profile hires. Judith Hoffman joins the company as chief operating officer and Steve Superville comes aboard as creative director.
Hoffman has been in game development for over two decades and has held leadership positions at Amazon Games Studios, EA, Zynga and Gameloft to name a few. Superville joins from Epic Games where he served as creative director on Paragon.
“Our studio has always focused on the hiring mantra of ‘value team skills as much as technical skills,’” said CEO of Big Huge Games, Tim Train. “Judith and Steve are great examples of this philosophy – extremely skilled in their roles, but also great models for our core values. As we start work on the next generation of titles while sustaining the success of DomiNations, we could not be more excited about Judith and Steve joining our team, and we look forward to playing the new games they will be working on.”
DomiNations is the latest game from the revamped developer, who made their name with the Microsoft published Rise of Nations. The company then went through various iterations as parent companies changed, including THQ and Epic, before eventually being shut in 2013. The brand was revitalised by Korean publisher Nexon in 2015.
