The co-owner and design director of indie publisher Curve Digital has resigned in order to start up his own development studio.
Jonathan Biddle (pictured) has formed Onebitbeyond, which is currently developing rogue-like shooter White Space. The new company’s titles will be published – unsurprisingly – by Curve Digital.
Biddle leaves Curve after ten years at the company, having previously led the team behind puzzle game Fluidity and action platformer Stealth Inc, plus the latter’s sequel.
"I’m so intensely proud of the work I’ve done as part of the incredible team at Curve over the past ten years, and I’m hoping to continue creating games as fresh and exciting as those Curve made with my own studio for years to come," said Biddle.
"Having seen the intimate inner workings of Curve Digital’s publishing as it has grown, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone more with publishing my future titles. I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Curve as Onebitbeyond."
Last month, Curve Digital revealed it had hired Simon Byron as its new head of publishing.
