Rainbow Six Siege to get UK console-focused Go4 tournaments

On Tuesday Ubisoft announced that it would be teaming up with ESL to kick off three months of Go4 cups in the UK, with a focus on console competitors.

The competition will be open to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players, with matches running every Tuesday from 19:00 to 22:30 UK time. This will kick off next week on 15 August and run through till November 28, with weekly prizes of £100 per platform up for grabs, and £1,000 every four weeks at the Go4 Finals.

The weekly events are open to all and free to join, with the eight best teams competing online every four weeks for the bigger prize pool matches.

It’s a positive step forward for Rainbow Six competition in the UK, and the fact that every week has a contest of its own means that it’s easy for viewers to drop in and out of. With these events tied to the Gfinity Elite Series, the next few weeks could be very busy for grassroots esports from the UK, with tournaments airing live on Twitch four days out of seven.
