Tandem Events, the organiser behind the Develop:Brighton conference has announced that this year saw a record attendance with a 7.5 per cent rise in attendees.
Over the three day conference, which started with the Evolve:Brighton track on Tuesday, July 11th, had 2,171 people visit, which is the most in the conference’s 12 year run.
The start of the conference had a keynote with Magic Leap’s Graeme Devine, which you can read more about here, before Brenda and John Romero delivered Wednesday’s opening keynotes for Develop and Japanese developer Tetsuya Mizuguchi started the final day with his keynote.
“I’d like to thank all our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees for making this year’s Develop:Brighton such a success,” said Tandem Events managing director, Andy Lane. “Each year we strive to improve and deliver an event that provides the game development community with the opportunity to learn, network and be inspired and we intend to continue on this journey.”
The news comes with the announcement of the Develop:VR conference on November 9th at London’s Olympia venue with Sony Interactive Entertainment joining as a headline sponsor.
