Capcom appears to have let slip the release window for Street Fighter V, with the company posting and then pulling word that the game is set for spring 2016.
Over the weekend, the following statement could be found at the bottom of this Capcom Unity post – though it’s since been removed:
Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter 5 coming to the PS4 and PC next Spring. Until then, you can sport the official SF5 key art T-shirt, which features Ryu in a heroic pose, for $25.”
Event Hubs was the first to spot the release window mention and a screen capture has appeared on several other reports, which at least confirms the fact that Capcom in fact made the statement. While that doesn’t mean it’s set in stone, it still more than likely indicates what the publisher is aiming for.
Street Fighter V will be exclusive to PS4 on consoles whenever it does launch next year, and will include cross-play functionality with the title’s PC release.
