New week, new entry at the top of the UK physical charts – after a brand new Top 4 last week, NBA 2K20 debuted straight at No.1 this week. Sales went primarily to PS4 (66 per cent), followed by Xbox One (33 per cent) and Switch (two per cent). 2K’s basketball series didn’t perform as well as last year, with sales decreasing 32.4 per cent compared to launch sales for NBA 2K19. However, it’s the first time a basketball game tops the UK weekly physical charts.
Meanwhile, the Spyro Reunited Trilogy made a comeback at No.2, having been away from the charts last week. This is due to the title’s launch on Switch, resulting in a 1,153 per cent increase in sales across platforms week-on-week, with 92 per cent of that being Switch sales.
Bandai Namco’s Man of Medan is the only survivor of last week’s brand new Top 4, holding still at No.3 with a 53 per cent drop in sales week-on-week only– a very commendable performance for a second week on shelves.
Further down the charts, Atlus’ Catherine: Full Body, the remake of the 2011’s Catherine, debuted at No.9 and Capcom’s first Monster Hunter expansion, Iceborne, entered the charts at No.20. Meanwhile, Warner Bros’ Batman Arkham Collection, which comprises all three Batman titles developed by Rocksteady, debuted at No.39.
